Continuous professional development (CPD) activities for nurses are widely regarded as an major component of quality assurance and risk mitigation (Matters, 2017). Annually all the nurses should fulfill the mandatory requirements of CPD activities to maintain the professional RN standards (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, NMBA, 2016)CPD boosts the the theoretical aspects as well as clinical outcomes for the patient that promotes healthy and friendly work environment. A nurse who engages in CPD activities exhibit increased job satisfaction, confidence, accountability and decreased burnout in nursing profession (Matters, 2017).
Personally, I stay updated with all my e-learning and in-service education organized by the facility I am working with.
