My name is Sapana Tiwari and welcome to my webpage. This is a place where you can.. find information about me.
I was born and brought up in Begnastal, Pokhara, Nepal. It is a small yet beautiful valley surrounded by green hills on all the sides. It was named after the lake (Begnas) which lies on the walk-able distance from my home. It looks mesmerizing when the first rays of sun falls upon the peaks of snow capped mountains, the shadows of hills falls perfectly on the lake and the lake looks calm in its own state with those early fisherman on boat trying to collect their fishes. This morning scene takes my breath away every time I visit my hometown and I cannot stop myself not falling in love with this piece of heaven on Earth.
During 10th standard, I used to catch cough and cold quite often so I was overly cautious about staying clean and warm. I remember one particular day of that year, when I started coughing vigorously writing exam paper and no one seemed to bother me. I thought I would give up writing but just then I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder; it was my Principal standing with a glass of water. She handed me a tissue paper, made me drink warm lemon water and comforted me. I thanked her for courtesy and gratitude. Maybe this incident drove me even more towards my desire of pursuing nursing for my further studies because I realized the importance of care and empathy together when own body does not cooperate with us. I completed my higher secondary education in Science faculty from Nepal in 2011. This led to pursue my career in nursing thus I studied Bachelors of nursing. Nursing is one of the finest career one can choose, it requires a lot of patience, dedication, empathy and hardship.
I graduated in 2015 with flying colors. The political issues between my country and India did not allow me to have Indian registration. I returned to Nepal, cleared the license examination held by Nepal Nursing council and there I was with my dream holding in my hand (Nursing license of Nepal- reg. no- 38078) Nepal Nursing Council.
I came to Australia on September 2018 and welcomed by spring of Armidale. Days started to go quicker as the MNP course began. I was lucky to be under the guidance of excellent academic team, placement organizers, colleagues and diverse culture of Australia. I explored perception of health and illness of people and staffs placements throughout the course. It was interesting to see how every facility have own policies and protocols yet all of them followed the standards set by NSW health Government.
I will be highlighting about my personal as well as professional growth over the next few pages so that you will come to know whether or not I am the one you are looking for to work with?
